I grew up in a colonial stone house outside of Philadelphia. The 18 inch thick walls kept the interior cool in the summer and mostly warm in the winter. The windows were drafty though and it was my job in the fall to push rope caulk into the gaps around the sashes. Nowadays when I pull a window or door apart and piece them back together, theres a wonderful satisfaction of knowing this building is better than it was.
In addition to historical restoration, I enjoy making and repairing furniture, installing pretty floors, and fixing bicycles. Please let me know if you have ideas for a project.
“Lovely work by an accomplished Craftsman. I was impressed with the artistic flair that J applied in various accents to the Security Gate he fashioned for me, while courteous, kind, on time and priced reasonably. Would definitely recommend and hire him again, should the need arise.”
